Spring finally arrived but it’s up and down temperatures yet. No matter because the corgis take it in stride. Now we’re having rainy days but last week we had gorgeous weather.
Meco loves to walk with Glenn. She says, “Oh boy! A walk!” then bounds out. I watched her as she came down the ramp in the garage, out to the driveway, and decided to go in the back gardens first.
Glenn led her away from going behind the cabin, but she insisted. She goes potty and tells him that the arrow sign on the cabin says, “Outhouse”. That’s what she followed. Very private area!
Meco picks a different pathway each time and she loves exploring. Glenn said that she hasn’t had any accidents inside now for a couple of weeks. I think she knows he will take her out. She gets more frequent walks than Velvet and it works.
Last night, Meco came in with her raincoat on and Velvet came right over to lick the heavy rain off. Very cute. Velvet will not go out in the rain at all so maybe she didn’t want Meco wet.
I can do anything with Meco-brush, comb, hold her, etc. and she doesn’t squirm or move. Amazing! Meco will just lay there and take it all in. Very peaceful. Sometimes she lies down with Velvet and looks out the door.
Velvet is a clown. I found the hedgie behind the library door. Huh? I think that she threw it in the air and that’s where it went. Great entertainment. If I am talking to someone, Velvet finds something to do. Corky always barked for attention the whole time. Not Velvet. Velvet gets a toy a or a bone and busies herself. She is the only corgi that I know that does that.
We say that it is a pleasure to have Meco and Velvet. It’s relaxing to have corgis that just know the rules and listen most of the time. Meco doesn’t chew anything up and Velvet, rarely.
