We take Emily canoeing as she was trained to sit still the first time in the old canoe on the grass. This was a few years ago and she always remembers. I call it, “Row, row, row your boat” and sang it for her when I trained her and each time we are going. She is a retired Hearing Ear Dog so Emily sits when told anyway. That is how I got her used to being in the canoe, on the grass, and rocking it side to side a little.
